project: Public market and offices for the "Association du Terroir Québécois" Comprehensive building design project presented to the University of Waterloo as part of the last studio project of fourth year. The CBD's programme is kept open and students are free to elect both site and project. This market acts as a complement to Montréal's existing three public markets. Making full use of the site's potential at the corner of Sainte-Catherine and De Lorimier streets and adjacent to the Jacques Cartier bridge, perhaps Montréal's most spectacular entryway, the building acts as an entrance marker to the city as well as a revitalizing agent for the dilapitated area that suffered from the bridge's construction. |
